I promised numerous people that our family would get a blog started eventually, so Brett and I decided to begin one instead of sending out a letter in our Christmas cards.
Since yesterday was Thanksgiving, I was thinking about all the things we have to be thankful for. There are way too many to list, but here's part of the countdown:
7. Our jobs-- It is rare to find someone who enjoys their job, and we are so thankful that we both have jobs that we love with amazing co-workers.
6. Our church-- When God called us to step out in faith and change churches, it was scary, especially since we didn't want to leave the church where we met and got married. However, God is sovereign, and He knows what is best for us. We are so excited that God led us to Journey Church, and we can't wait to continue to get plugged in more and more.
5. Our friends-- God has put so many wonderful people in our lives that we are fortunate to call our friends. You have been there for us through so much, and appreciate all of you so much.
4. Our families-- We are blessed to have family members who are supportive, loving, and encouraging. Thank you for being there for us and praying for us. (PS- Happy Birthday, Alan! I love you, little bro!)
3. Our parents-- We could not have made it through the past 14 months without you! Thank you for taking care of us and Aubrey. We love you!
2. Aubrey-- Brett and I never could have imagined that the Lord would give us such a wonderful, sweet, beautiful baby. She is an incredible joy, and we are loving watching her grow and learn.
1. JESUS CHRIST-- He has blessed us so much through salvation, bringing Brett and me together, giving us a beautiful baby girl, always providing for us, and pouring out endless love and mercy upon us
